1969 Daimler Sovereign £ 17,950

This Daimler Sovereign was first registered in Jersey, in July 1969. It has remained in the island and in the same family ownership from new – a very original, cherished and well-maintained vehicle.

The twin-carburettor, 4.2-litre Jaguar engine (mated to a Borg Warner automatic transmission) received a major mechanical overhaul in 1998 which included a rebuild of the engine with new main/big end bearings, new piston rings and new valve guides fitted. The timing chains were replaced in 2015. Regularly maintained to date, the car runs and drives very well.

Solid and largely original, the body of the car has received panel repair and paintwork touchup whenever required. It has all chrome trim present and in good condition. The interior of the car is in a generally excellent condition – the original red leather seating is suitably age-patinated. The cloth headlining was renewed in 2012.

In single family ownership from new, this Daimler Sovereign is a very smart, genuine low mileage vehicle which has been refurbished as required, well maintained and always garaged. We have detailed records of all service/repair works from 1998 onwards.
